What it means to live a meaningful life

To live a meaningful life is not easy for most adult people of all age, as long as one does not live a meaningful life itself. As long as one has not realized what a meaningful life means, one is burdened with nearly unsolvable problems, with the danger of the shallowness and the brutality of so called social life and with “ones own”, not yet understood tricks of mind, emotion and what one calls “consciousness”. One must really be honest and upright, first, to oneself, since life loses its meaning with the absence of honesty and uprightness. To be really honest to oneself does not necessarily mean, to tell the world all the self-lies and the being untrue of ones everyday life, that one might observe everyday – this does not mean to lie to oneself, since as long as there is uprightness to oneself, there does not need to be this kind of telling-everybody-everything-thing, to which one might think to be forced in the light of honesty and uprightness. Honesty and uprightness starts with “you” – not with your behaviour and not with your words towards others –, pre-verbally, and does not need to be told to the world, which is not a hiding-away-game. To be upright and honest to oneself at first is a most highly subjective “thing”, and it is a private thing only secondary, since your honest subjectivity is prior to your private life. Your private life is your outer life it is a grown life that represents your biographical history, which is secondary. Your “own”, true, honest and upright subjectivity is prior to your private life, and this private life may not (yet!) represent your “own”, true, honest and upright subjectivity. And your “own”, true, honest and upright subjectivity is more than the good feeling and feelings that you may have in your life, more than the beautiful thoughts that you may be able to have, more than your insightfulness and usual intelligence that you may have. Ones “own”, true, honest and upright subjectivity is the “pre-condition” to “your” lived wisdom and the truly acting love that fills and touches the life and heart of people meeting you while being with you. This is what a meaningful life means, what a meaningful life feels like, what a meaningful life “gives”, it “gives” meaning to you – and – others. But, to be precise, it is not you that, “through your own”, true, honest and upright subjectivity, give meaning to yourself and others, it is life itself(!) that is life itself that “gives” meaning to all who are willing to listen to that which is already there and everywhere. And moreover: Life does not “give” meaning to you and others, through your “own”, true, honest and upright subjectivity, life is(!) meaning and life is(!) meaningful as such. Such a life is(!) really easy, and such a life is not (anymore) burdened with nearly unsolvable problems, such a life is an highly and really active(!) life, it is not a life of convenience and laziness. You must live such a life, since, as long as you are truly honest and upright to yourself, you want(!) to live such a life. You want to do it! You really want to be “like” that! So do it (now), so be it (now).

And don’t forget – Freedom

Yes, there is this Freedom. There is this “path” without direction, this “path” which, wherever you go you are everywhere, wherever you are heading for you are still at the goal of your “path”, you have nothing to do to aim for the end of your “path”, since you are everywhere at the same time, and you are still there at the very moment you start. There is no one pointing out any direction, there is no classifying of paths and ways and methods and techniques, no dogma, no theory, no idea, no proof or disproof, no like or dislike, no good or bad, no better or worse, there are no opposites, no tensions to fight, no confusions, all there is, is this (absolute) Freedom. There is not the freedom from something, and not the freedom to do something, but simply Freedom. Wherever there is direction, there is Freedom not. Direction means distance in space and time; wherever there is distance in space and time there is Freedom not. Direction also means movement within space and time; wherever there is movement within space and time, there is Freedom not. Freedom is space and time Itself, is that lightly “movement” that is absolute Rest, that is of the nature of Light Itself, that is real conscious Light. And this Freedom (of consciousness) has no direction, no relative movement, and is not a path and therefore not to be reached via a path, is not distance and therefore one with “all”, as “all” and a One Itself concerning this togetherness without a distance. Therefore, since there is no distance, there is Compassion, therefore people feel touched by “something” they can not touch by themselves. But only people who are really sensitive to Freedom, not who are willing to achieve Freedom, but who are open to Freedom and who are really honest to themselves and others, who understand intuitively what that means, who have this pure und untouched attitude towards life and Life, can feel that Freedom, that Compassion that is Love. So, Freedom is not different from Love, Freedom is not just the ability within space and time to go where one likes to go, to head for the realization of these arbitrary and idle plans, ideas, hopes and imaginations to bring peace and freedom to society. Freedom is not within space and time, It is space and time. This space-time-existence is (our) destiny, It is (our) origin and is (our) goal, but/and at the same time It is (our) presence. Since there is only Presence, no past, no future, is this Freedom now, and there is no way, no path, no road, leading to It, since It is already realized, already here and will always already be realized and be here. This Freedom is what you all really Want – go and Take It.

Go and get It – The Present

Yes, there is this Present. This Present is the Presence, and the Presence is always a Present. If you “know” how to live, if you “know” how to be true, if you “know” how to love, and if you “know” how to be really wise, then there is this Present in the Presence, as Presence. The Presence surrounds the past and the future, transcends the past and the future, the Presence is not an infinitesimal point on the line between past and future. The Presence is always and always already, and the only One that is. There is no past and no future, there is only the Presence. You must understand this, and really this is not difficult to understand. When you are really open, truly honest, socially “save” (yes, this is necessary), then you can understand what life is all about, what the deep and true meaning of this existence is, what and why you are living for. Life gives you this existence, your existence as a Present, as this one and only Present, this Presence that you are living in this very moment. What is the meaning of it all? Didn’t you already ask this question? “Why am I living? What am I living for?” Here is the opportunity, here in this very moment, in this very Presence, to open your mind and heart, to let Truth, Love, Reality and Wisdom flow “into” and “onto” that which you think is you. “You” is an imagination, a self-deception, an image. “You” is the past, remembrance, yesterday, sentimentality, suffering and “you” is the future, the hope, the plans, the goals, the imagination. Yes, “you” is not real, since the past is over, is nevermore, is never again, and in the case of the future “you” is not yet, exists only as a “forgotten” realization, as a “reality” in the waiting list, and therefore not a truly real Reality. Only the Presence is real and always already, the Presence is the only “Thing” that is. “You” as a form are the past and “you” are not different from a tree over there in the garden, which is separated from “you” via distance, time and space, therefore past. What you think about yourself (and the world), and that you think, is always associated with a distance, a separation, the past. Therefore thinking can never be associated with this Present that is the Presence. “You” think you are thinking presently, but thinking is associated with time, past, with learning and remembering, and is therefore a forgotten realization, which is not the Present and not the Presence. A present makes you feel good, but the Presence is more than a good feeling, it is associated with all you really Want, with your destiny, that is unknown. You can not know the Presence, you can only know the past, more to say: you can only know your remembrance of the past, which is not really the past, but simply your remembrance of it. Moreover, it is the past that is the Presence and the future that is the past modified by the Presence. Therefore, the Presence must be and is more than the past and the future together. This Presence, this Present is what you really Want, what you really want to understand and live and be – go and be it.

Go and get It – Wisdom

Yes, there is this Wisdom. There is this intelligent action, this vivid living that is not just manifesting as wise words, but which is also a true and honest feeling grounded on sincerity. This Wisdom is the real understanding of everyday life, of history, politically, philosophically and religiously. That real understanding brings about the understanding of the real necessities of everyday life and therefore It brings about a true intelligent “vision” of a peaceful living-together in world-culture and present-day-world. But present-day-world lacks of this true Wisdom, therefore there are so many fights, so many claims of truth, which are just selfish, naïve and stubborn views of the world and universe, mainly grounded on blind vision, cold heart and narrow, but so called intelligent, mind, founded on the total not-understanding of suffering and fundamental existence itself. Wisdom understands fundamental existence not theoretically by words only, but practically by right Doing, right Action, right Response in everyday-life and to everyday-life. True Wisdom is not limited knowledge that has its limits of validity, where their ideas and theories strive for limited intellectual validation. Wisdom is not of this sort of intellectual knowledge and understanding, this Wisdom is true Knowledge without borders of understanding, without borders that seem to be necessary to make secure and save and sure that there is something that can be given to the next generation in form of a wordy and worldly thing, as wordiness. True Wisdom is wordless in essence, and is not out of this world, since it is not missing the point like the wordiness of ordinary naïve limited and self-limiting knowledge. Wisdom is not self-limiting but limitless, is not naïve but clear, is not ordinary but extraordinary, is not worldly but holy. This Wisdom is touching and caressing, is heart-opening and heart-giving, is mind-provoking and mind-calming, It is clarity without an argument, without proof, without conviction, without believing or not-believing. This real Wisdom is the Realization of fundamental existence itself and therefore It Is fundamental existence Itself, as Life, as Beauty, as Love, as Reality, as Truth, as Presence. And This Wisdom is all you really Want – go and realize It.

Go and get It – Reality

Yes, there is this Reality. There is only one Reality, which is undivided, whole, holy, complete and full. This Reality is not the composition of parts, It is not constituted of all the single parts that could be localized with rough and crude physical observation, and It is not the mere more-than-the-sum-of-Its-parts. Indeed, there is no part, there is no constituent, there is no single one that could be localized, and there is no togetherness. Therefore It is “all” whole, not just “a” wholeness, not just “a” holiness, but just undivided existence. However you name It, all names are wrong, all names are limited, all names are divisions und separations that do not count for that Reality. That Reality can therefore not be described, since it can not be conceived. And “you” are this Reality, “you” are not separate from It, It is not outside of “you”, and It is not inside of “you”. This Reality is neither inside nor outside, by Itself, whenever you think you got that Reality, you miss something, missing has the tendency to identify itself with something that can be localized, the missing is localizing something in order to escape the missing-situation and missing-reality. The missing-reality Is not that Reality, and it does not want to see, feel, watch, observe, taste, live and be itself. But the movement of that missing-reality is the missing-reality and that is the tendency of all manifested existence, of all “outer” experience. That only one Reality that is beauty and whole is the only inner movement that is silent and calm, therefore we name It inner movement. All “outer” movement appear as thinking and conceiving, which is traditionally expected as an “inner” movement, but only that Reality that is beauty and whole and holy, is the only true and real inner movement of all existence, It is the core of existence, the secret and apparently hidden fact of existence. That Reality is neither movement nor non-movement as imagined by everyday experience of the crude and rough physical world. That Reality is not a result of energy, It is Energy Itself, which Is the fundamental Doing. That fundamental Doing has no direction as only Itself, has no goal or purpose to fulfil, It is the beauty of existence, that is there without a source, without a cause and is not the effect of something or nothing. That Reality has no past and no future, it is always presence and always already pure and honest, and It is a living “Thing”, the only one and true Reality, always there to be discovered at any time. That Reality is all you really Want to understand – go, understand and live It

Go and get It – Love

Yes, there is this Love. There is this unsentimental, purely rich and seldom Thing, that all human beings are striving for. There is this beautiful Caress which can not be touched, but which touches all who are really sensitive, deeply thoughtful, intensely wise, who do not fear to be hurt by the insensitive, thoughtless and stupid people in this world. This Love requires courage, not the courage of a hero blindly functioning according to the plan of authority and power, but the courage of the truly open heart and mind for the unknown answers of suffering people all over the world. This courage and Love does not separate, and is not the result of separation of any kind. This Love does not divide the world in different religious, political, social, philosophical or scientific movements, It is utter beyond separation, It has absolutely nothing to do with sectarianism, this morality of selfishness and egocentricity, these systems of borders and walls and these daughters of the idea of “together we can make it, together we are strong”. Love is not a mass phenomena, Love is seldom and only when there is loneliness understood, when there is fear (of death) understood, when there is Truth, Reality and Wisdom understood, then there is real Love, that has no opposite and that is not coming into existence out of the opposite, that never changes, although It is flexible and not stiff and not hard, but soft, strong, direct, seductive and beautiful. This Love never dies, therefore It never fears death, since death is non-existing. This Love never hates, therefore It never hurts, since hate hurts itself. This Love never lies, therefore It always “speaks” the Truth, since a lie would be a separate thing, but Love does not separate. This Love is all at once, therefore “you” can discover It right away, since Love gives always the opportunity to be discovered. This Love never confuses, therefore It is always clear, since clarity is Its fundamental character. And this Love is what you really Want to feel, what you Want to understand, what you really Want to see, taste and breath. This Love is actually all you really Want – go and discover It.

Go and get It - Truth

Yes, there is this Truth. There is this intense and beautiful Thing, that can not be located, that is everywhere and nowhere, that is here and there, and that is not here and not there. That Thing is a No-Thing, a Nothingness, and therefore It is all you want, and all you are. You think, you must be something you must be good, peaceful, loving, intelligent, clever, rich, save and all these images that you think are worth to follow and to achieve. But on your way according to your imagination, your hope and believe, you are still confused, confused by yourself and the world, and you follow the path of your hope, that someday you will be all you really want, satisfied, at the end of the road, at the ultimate goal, where all time comes to an end and you never fear, and you never hesitate, and you never lie (mainly to your self), and you never suffer insecurity. But real Truth is total insecurity It is not the security of the tradition of saving the past, the words, the thoughts and the ideas, the hopes and all these believing-systems. Truth is real Beauty, without an opposite, a Beauty that is not a slave of time and space that never vanishes and never comes to existence; This Beauty simply Is. This Truth Is not something that you can produce, this Truth is not something that comes with good work and good service to the people and all living beings. This Truth does not depend on your will It has Its own will, a will of purity, a will without purpose, without direction, without goal outside and away from Itself. This Truth is not to find within the form and forms of this world, and It is not the formless form of the other side of the world. You can not locate It, you can not name It, you can not search for It, you can not find It, without being mislead by yourself completely. This Truth is not the word It is not within the word, and not without the word and It is not beyond the word, It is completely not to be localized. This Truth Is a tree without the distance of time and space. This Truth Is a ever flowering flower, always beautiful, always nice, always seductive, without attraction and the opposite. This Truth is all you really Want – go and get It.
